Every Emotion Ever

It's official: We're moving to ITALY!

*happy dance*

We are SO incredibly excited/anxious/happy/sad/overwhelmed/blessed. We found out in late January, but have luckily been able to keep it under wraps until now. Getting six months notice that you're moving is the best, and the worst. It's the best because you can start planning and getting excited, and the move doesn't sneak up on you in a bad way. Unfortunately, getting six months notice also sucks because things don't actually get confirmed until about 90 days out. Plus, because there's no confirmation for a while, even with our long to-do list, we couldn't start any paperwork until 90 days before we're due to move.

Anyway, this move has consumed my life in the most plan-tastic way. I plan everything in my regular life, so this just fits right into my style. I love it! I'm planning my wardrobe, the things we'll bring/store/sell, and of course, trying to learn a bit of Italian.

The house has been on the market for a little bit now, but everything is pretty slow here. A lot of the people are just looking right now since its still fairly winter-y, and we're hoping things pick up in late April/early May. We're also selling both of our cars, since owning SUV's isn't very reasonable over there. My passports and visa are almost completely processed, and we should have everything in a little over a month. B is getting ready to leave me for a little while, so I'm super thankful that we got all of the 'big things' crossed off our list before he goes!

I'm most stressed about the house and the dogs. Getting Taz and Bugs' medical and travel plans has been not very fun, and won't be finalized until the week before we leave the country. For a planner like me, the dog part is a logistical nightmare. Plus they're our babies, so we're a little extra stressed out.

Anyway, even with all of the stress and planning fun, we are mostly overwhelmed with very positive emotions. We can't help but feel grateful for this opportunity. We've enjoyed our time in Minot, as well as our previous time in Louisiana. Even though we haven't been in the most ideal locations, we've made the most of these assignments. Therefore, we can't even begin to IMAGINE how much fun this dream location is going to be :) Stay tuned, life just got a LOT more exciting!!
